Hong Kong regulatory texts and professional translations

Hong Kong materials prioritise the official English and Traditional Chinese texts supplied by the regulator or Hong Kong e-Legislation. The pages pair bilingual passages but never label a Simplified Chinese adaptation as official Chinese.

Official Chinese and reproduction rights

“Official Chinese text” means that the Chinese comes from the same official source; it does not automatically grant this site a right to copy the whole document. Until any required permission is obtained, SFC materials are limited to official links, summaries and necessary short extracts.

Translation and publication controls

  1. Official Traditional Chinese wording, numbering and punctuation remain unchanged; a Simplified Chinese conversion is never described as official text.
  2. English and official Chinese in a pair must be from matching versions. A mismatch is marked under-review and is not published as a paired provision.
  3. Editorial notes are labelled separately and never merged into official Chinese text.
  4. Systematic full text and locally hosted PDFs are withheld for permission-required documents; a link-only item always returns users to the official page.
